It just depends on whether you would marry a dumb blonde (mac) or a ugly genius (windows). I use both, but windows wins it for me, as I use it more. I even think vista was brilliant (had no problems with it from RTM release) through to RTM release of Windows 7. Might shock some people (I agree with Jon Thomas, in that I believe the reason vista got so much bad press was because people ran it on crappy outdated hardware). Instead it selects every single file in between that you were trying to avoid. And copying and pasting file paths is a pain too on a mac. The only reason Mac OS is slightly more reliable than Windows 7 is because it's locked down to certain hardware. Windows 7 is actually a vastly more impressive OS, but ultimately it all comes down to user experience and so lots of people prefer the simplicity of Snow Leopard. As Jon says.
