I’ve released two brand new FREE WordPress themes in the last two days. The first is Base Dark, which is a light on dark variation of Base. The two themes are exactly the same, but I decided to make the light on dark version after a user request. So again, the theme focuses on doing all the basic WordPress features right, while having a few added features, like a options page for inserting a logo.

And today, after being in development for a while, I finally released Scruffy. Scruffy is basically built on Base, so it has all the basic theme features, although it isn’t built on the 960.gs grid sytem. With this theme I focused more on the design, having built a pretty solid framework with Base. So this time around the theme has a more unique appereance and I think it will definitely stand out from the crowd. Take it for a spin with the online demo, and download it for free if you like. 26-07-2008 at 2:52 am // PermalinkI was looking at scruffy on the Wordpress site and when I viewed the demo the “comments off” words were going right across the title. The theme isn’t cross browser compatible with the Flock browser. Other than that I really like the design, but I thought you might want to know this.

For some reason in my FF3.01 in the preview the circle that shows the comment for the latest post looks chopped on the left.

02-08-2008 at 12:07 am // Permalinkanother comment on scruffy… not sure how old of wp versions you are supporting, but imho, you should replace your gravatar stuff in comments.php with the builtin wp support and simply use
get_avatar( $comment, 32 );
instead…
