I created this theme to streamline my free theme development process. The result is a very solid WordPress theme, covering all the basic features a standard WordPress theme should have…plus one or two extras.
The theme has a three column layout, with the page navigation and a customisable “about” section in the left sidebar. The color palette is grey with a few gradients, which gives it a “snow/ice” look, hence the name Arctic.
As the name Simpleton suggests, this theme has a simple layout (two-column), focusing on the content, rather than flashy graphics. The home page displays the most recent post and also has sections for recent posts, recent comments and popular posts. It also has the widgetized sidebar.
